Our Mission
To join God for the renewal of the city by following Jesus, creating community, and living on mission together.
The shortest way God sums up what he is doing in the world is, “Look, I am making all things new.” (Revelation 21:5). This is the Bible’s way of saying God is making everything as it should be. New City started in a living room and has grown into a church with Communities gathering all over the city, people from all walks of life, and a vision to see Austin made new. How is this accomplished? As we follow Jesus together, becoming more like him, creating community where people can come to know Jesus and grow together, and uniting around the mission Jesus has invited us to join him in.
Our Vision
A New City Community in Every Neighborhood and a Church in Every Direction.
A “New City” Community is a community of people united around the mission of joining God for the renewal of the city. It’s a group of people who make the world a little more like heaven everywhere they go. Our vision is to put a New City Community in every neighborhood in Austin until there’s not an area in our city unaffected by the good news of Jesus. We’re also on the journey toward starting new churches in Central, North, South, East, and West Austin. We want everyone in Austin to be near a community of people joining God for the renewal of our city.
