Justin Harlan Smith
Lead Pastor - Teaching and Vision
Justin and his wife, Rebecca have known each other since junior high, been married since 2014, and have two boys, Shepherd and Jude. They have been leading ministries together for over a decade, love having people in their home, and are passionate about seeing Jesus change people’s lives.
Ryan Perkins
Pastor - Formation and Prayer
Ryan and his wife, Callie have been married since 2018 and have two boys, Samuel and Drew. In addition to being one of our Teaching Pastors, Ryan leads our efforts to help people follow Jesus and become more like him in their everyday lives.
Rachel Fossler
Director - Families and Care
Rachel and her husband, Jared have been married since 2023. If you’ve got kids, you’ll get to know Rachel well. She leads the way serving our families. She’s also passionate about the marginalized and the hurting. She leads our efforts to care for those in need.
Jaime Dodson
Worship Lead
Jaime moved to Austin in 2020 and has been with New City since the beginning. She leads our worship ministry and also hosts one of our Communities.
Brock Braxton
Resident - Connection and Communication
Brock graduated from UNT in 2024 and is currently in New City’s Residency program. Brock leads the way in welcoming new people to New City, helping them get connected, and making sure you know how you can be a part of this growing family.
Rayce Geisendorff
Resident - Worship and The House
Rayce moved to Austin in 2025 with his wife, Olivia, and is currently in New City’s Residency program. He leads worship for The House, our College and Young Adult Ministry. He’s passionate about writing and producing music that honors God and points people to Jesus.
Henry Spencer
Resident - Serve Teams and The House
Henry moved to Austin in 2024 and is currently in New City’s Residency Program. He leads the way in helping people find a place to serve at New City. He also helps lead The House, our College and Young Adult Ministry.
Kamryn Hart
Resident - The House
Kamryn moved to Austin in 2023 and is currently in New City’s Residency Program. She helps lead The House, our College and Young Adult Ministry. She’s passionate about helping young women take ownership of their faith.
Gabe Deavenport
Resident - The House
Gabe moved to Austin in 2023 to help start New City and met his wife, Mikayla, here (you’re welcome Gabe). He is currently in New City’s Residency Program and helps lead The House, our College and Young Adult Ministry. He’s passionate about discipling young men in their walk with Jesus.
